Day 6

Unfourtunetly this is all the photos we can show from yesterday but is only 50% of the day. The small point and shoot were been using specificly for the blog..died..cause we forgot to charge it...and all the rest of the photos we took are on erin's SLR..and we have no way to connect the SLR to the iPad. So some of the most gorgeous photos will have to wait...
But we did have a great day. In the morning we bused up the hill to the Matisse Museum, with gorgeous huge sketches, and paintings. Plus it was inside such a beautiful building, with small lemon trees planted in front of it. Infront there is a huge park FILLED with ancient olive trees, and beside there is a ton of roman ruins you can walk through and look down on whats left of an old town and amphitheatre. And also an old franciscan church with beautiful paintings and patterned stone floors, and decorated ceilings..with the most beautiful garden covered in fruit trees, flowers, fountains, hundreds of birds, and a phenominal view. We explored that until noon, and headed back down the hill to the tram, we went into center town ...shopped then grabbed lunch..and hagen daz ice cream :) and headed to the beach. Their beaches are covered in smooth stones..of all different shapes and sizes....(of course now half the beach is in our bags..). The water...which did not seem to end..was the clearest blue water weve ever seen. And everytime a wave would break on the shore it would pull a bunch of smaller rocks into the water, and make a rolling, cracking, gurgling sound, which was so beautiful. After the beach we took a quick walk down the promenade anglais, the extremly long and wide road running parallel to the beach, covered with expensive restaurants, hotels, and cafes, and with the most beautiful breeze coming up off the water. We then went on a hunt for bottled water, and eventually headed back to massena place, and took pictures of the strange statues and beautiful old terracota red buildings.

This morning is our goodbye to France, hello to Italy. Florence first :).

William&Erin.
