This was our last frantic morning, hopefully. No more one night stays at hostels, today we slept in a little bit, to calm down after all the running around, packed up and headed to the first hotel of our stay (instead of hostel). We were a little nervous coming to our new shelter because it is in the pigalle/red light district, which can be a little bit frightening. It turns out its very nice, and it seems to be an up and coming neighbourhood, and we are just a few blocks away from the moulin rouge. Its also where Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Vincent Vangogh, Claude Monet and Toulouse Lautrec all lived once upon a time. We wouldve liked to see one of the classic shows at the moulin rouge, but it costs more then our hotel room per person for a ticket. After we checked in and discovered a beautiful balcony attached to our room.we decied we deserved a nice easy day, not too much site seeing, other then the moulin of course, and a little bit of people watching at a nice cafe across the street from it. We did do a little shopping, got a little bit lost, and ran into a proffesional photoshoot, just in front of a fountain. The model was fashion icon, Olivia Palermo, and we think it was a shoot for gucci. We were more excited just to see a working photography set, right in public, until we were shoo'd away. On our way back to the metro, we stopped at a tiny market, and picked up some cherry tomatoes and nectarines. Passed through a boulangerie at the end of our street, and picked up a tiny pizza, and a few macaroons, then went straight home to eat our feast upon our gorgeous balcony.
Ahhhhh another wonderful day in Paris tomorrow.
Love
