Day 2...

We started with continental breakfast (a mini baggette and coffee...cannot complain) and the adventure began..
We really wanted to use the bike rental service which is all over paris...but with our luck it didnt work.. The bike stop is half a block from the hotsstel so we were really excited about how convienient it was... But it does not take change nor canadian credit cards/bank cards? Great for tourrrriiissst, really. So that was foiled and we decided to challenge ourselves with the metro.. which turned out to not be a challenge at all. It may be in a different language but it is the easiest train system weve ever used.
The Effile Tower was first on our list. Of course we had to see it. We were very shoked to found out it was painted brown..but the architecture was amazing. We had a fellow tourist (a man from Denmark) take our photo.
Then we wandered off to get lost in the city. We did get lost though.. For a good while. And we finally came across Chanel.. 31 Rue Cambon.. The very first Chanel store ever. Her lover helped her aquire it in about ..1910.. Her workshop on the fourth floor, apartment on the third, dressing rooms on the second and the shop on the first(street level). It is still as beautiful as it ever was.. And we couldnt resist a bit of fashion history like that.
Another thing we saw was Pompidou Center.. (a museum/library) mainly for the fact the building's guts are on the outside. All the pipes, stairs and elevators were built outside so they didnt have to ruin the architecture inside..(as far as weve read..) makes for an intersting sight.
Like we mentioned yesturday.. finding Williams coat was part of it all.. So we had one hell of a time trying to find 'Objects Trouvers' for all of Paris.. A police officer gave us directions..but we still go lost.. Finally we found the lost and found...but no dice.. Atleast we tried..and saw alot more of Paris then we intended too.
After all thar excitment we were ready to rest.. We sat for a good while along the Seine River, soaking up the sun and the sights.. Then eventually strolled off and found another wonderful budget meal/wine..
We just got back from our last sigth. We again 'went up' Montparnasse tower. A 360 veiw of Paris..which we decided to be the most worth while at night. It was amazing..the lights and all.
The perfect 'adieu' to Paris.

Tomorrow morning we are off to Aix-en-Provance.
