Our apologies for the late post, a little bit tied up last night.
We woke up nice and early, and finished packing and were excited to find that we had enough extra time for one more coffee duo breakfast, and to pick up a couple extra croissants for the train ride. After our breakfast we went back to the hostel and asked the man at reception if he callmus a taxi for the train station. Once the taxi picked us up we sat down and prepared for the crazy france traffic and agressive driving. After about ten minutes it seemed like we were headed the wrong way, but just assumed the driver knew something we didnt. Nope. We ended up at the wrong train station, a high speed "TGV" train instead of the one we arrived on. So we panicked a little bit, thimking we were going to miss our train plus all our transfers. So we went to the info desk. The man essentially just told us to get on the train even though we didnt have tickets for it. But he seemed confident. So we got on the train and no one asked for tickets, and it met up with where we had wanted to eventually go anyways.
We arrived in Nice which is extremly hot and gorgeous, and right on the water. All the streets are beautiful and stuffed to the brim with vendors cafes tourists and amazing amounts of beautiful flowers, palm trees, and aloe plants. We had decided to save mostmof the real site seeing for the next day, but to still go to town and see the amazing shopping streets, and the beautiful enormous open squares, walked through a few malls and stopped for a quick bite, but after a long day we were excited to get back to our hostel, and take advantage of happy hour! 1€ for a beer!
So we grabbed a few beers, and a pizza and even chatted ro a few other people staying at the hostel, stroked the local cat while we fed her a puece of cheese from our pizza, then off to bed early, so we can finally get enough sleep. Tmrw is going to be day on the beach!
